When kids are sick with a cough or cold, parents want to do anything they can to comfort them. But sometimes, common treatments aren’t safe for young children.

Over-the-counter cough and cold medicines have warning labels saying they shouldn’t be given to children under age four, but in our latest NPCH Report, 4 in 10 parents said they’d given these medicines to their children under four years old.
