Do parents “oversharent” on social media?
Social media is a part of everyday life, and for many parents, a useful tool to share updates with friends, family, and other parents about their kids. But with Internet safety among the top 10 health concerns that adults have for kids in their communities, some people are wondering whether this so-called “sharenting” is a good idea.
We asked parents across the country about the benefits and risks of sharenting. We also asked whether they’ve witnessed other parents “oversharenting” – that is, sharing too much information about their children online.
The results of this National Poll on Children’s Health will be released next week. If you want to get the results as soon as they’re release, sign up for our email list and we’ll send you an email when the report is published.
The NPCH Report about sharenting has now been published: Parents on social media: Likes and dislikes of sharenting.
