Checking in with parents on their views about vaccines

In the past year, outbreaks of measles and whooping cough have sparked continued debate about vaccines for children. Some parents fear that the risk of side effects from vaccines is greater than the risk of vaccine-preventable illnesses, but experts say vaccination is the best way to keep children safe from dangerous diseases and prevent outbreaks.

With all of the media attention about vaccines this year, how have parents’ opinions about vaccines changed? We asked. In a recent National Poll on Children’s Health, we asked parents how they feel about the safety and benefits of vaccines compared to how they felt a year ago.

The results of this new National Poll on Children’s Health about vaccine attitudes will be released next week. Sign up for our email list to make sure you get the report as soon as it’s available.
