Misuse of narcotic pain meds among children & teens: Upcoming report

Sales of narcotic pain medicines have increased dramatically in the U.S. over the last two decades, which means there has been more opportunity for misuse of these drugs by all age groups – including children and teens.

But are parents aware of the threat of narcotic pain medicine misuse among their children? And would they be willing to support policies aimed at preventing misuse?

To get a better sense of parents’ perceptions and priorities surrounding these issues, we asked parents of children and teens for their views on misuse of narcotic pain medicines among youth. We also asked if they would support potential policies designed to discourage misuse.

The results of this Poll will be released next week. Sign up for our e-mail list to receive the report as soon as it’s published!
